Luis Eslava Studio

Luis Eslava studied at London’s prestigious Royal College of Art, gained work experience at Spanish contemporary footwear brand Camper and spent time living in Japan. In 2008, he moved to Spain and established his eponymous studio in Barcelona. Luis approaches design from a comprehensive viewpoint, believing that a designer should be able to propose a wide range of solutions and rethink daily life. It is the reason why Luis Eslava Studio works on global projects, participating in each stage of the production process.
Luis Eslava Studio has developed its experience in lighting design through collaborations with various light manufacturers, including LZF for whom the studio designed the Agatha pendant. Luis has a vast level of experience in designing ephemeral spaces, including the Rojo Show exhibition in London and New York, co-curated with Spanish designer Nani Marquina. He has designed stands for Velcro® Europa, USA and Asia. He has collaborated in food design projects with Chef Andreu Genestra from ElBulli and Spain’s Great Match 2013. In addition, Luis Eslava Studio has developed all manner of products for various global brands, such as Sancal and Vertisol in Spain, Martini Russia, TFK Kuwait and Tombow Japan.
