Two stamped wooden veneer sheets, mounted to a pattern which lends them torsion and dynamism, make up the shade of the Mikado lamp. The stamped wooden strips design in the air a shape charged with sensuality, as well as adding an overall lightness to the piece and creating interesting plays of light and shadow. The strips give the shade a volumetric richness that changes according to the viewing angle. Designed by Miguel Herranz in 2005 this family of lamps won the Design Plus prize in the 2006 edition of “Light and Building” in Frankfurt.

This 6 petal “flower” created by Spanish designer Miguel Herranz has an amusing appearance and a strong, recognisable character. The name “margarita” comes from Greek origin (margarites) and means “pearl”: a jewel created to be fitted in any space thanks to its light, which makes the geometry of its petals even more notorious. Dimensions: 80 cm diameter and 20 cm height with a “stem” of 30, 50 or 70 cm length. Also available in a steel aircraft cable suspension wire  version to give the lamp a lighter aspect and make installation easier.

Irishman Ray Power designed the Link family for LZF with a rigorous study of form and geometry. Made up of Moebius strips piled on top of one another, it confers warmness thanks to an interesting light and shadow play. In the hanging version the shade attracts all the attention. Link can grow longer and wider, thus giving a personal touch to each interior thanks to its different colours and finishes. Available in shade sizes 42 cm (diameter) or 69 cm. Link has been awarded the Design Plus Material Vision’07 award for the use of LZF’s famous Polywood®.

Link was designed by Irishman Ray Power for LZF based on the study of shape, repetition and geometry. Its winding curves create organic forms and convey warmness thanks to an interesting play of light and shadows. Its shade achieves a special visual effect, both in private homes and contract. In the standing version it’s ultralight base made of thin metal rods simulates the  appearance of 3 tensed wires giving it a total height of 177 cm. Link has been awarded the Design Plus Material Vision’07 prize for its use of treated sheet called Polywood®.

Kits are a set of very simple wall lamps, made up of an flat interwoven wood veneer diffuser and a beechwood structure which houses the lightbulb holder that allows us to hang it on the wall. The grooves in the beechwood structure allows us to join the wood veneer and the inner structural support that confers stability to the lamp. Spanish designer José María Garrido has created Kit-A, whose character lies, above all, in it’s easy to mount kit like nature, allowing this piece to be flat packed fro shipping. Thanks to these woven wood sheets Kit gives a unique, very special light, warm and diffused.

The Totem lamp is a result of the combination of two different designers and their ideas. German Burkhard Dämmer and Spanish Mariví Calvo fused together Dämmer’s original models the poppy and the pod to create this powerful light sculpture. Given its monumental proportions Totem was conceived for huge areas. The peculiar disposition of its screens creates an imposing vertical object, a volume full of rhythm and harmony. Thanks to its versatility and combination potential, it is available in three standard configurations. But other possibilities can be studied…

The Icon lamp is designed out of three flat sheets: two identical metal-sheets and a sheet of veneer. Put together this way the lamp offers two perspectives. A “slim” form from the side and the siluette of a lamp icon from the front view.

Guijarro is a wall lamp designed by Spanish artist Mariví Calvo whose uneven curves invite us out to play. As the name suggests in Spanish, it emulates those little stones, rounded by water, that we find on the banks of rivers and streams. It creates a unique, delicate ambience and can be combined using different sizes and finishes to produce a customized composition for every space. This is especially easy thanks to an assembly system with magnets that simplifies our work and allows us to move it slightly, study which position we prefer, or change it and substitute it for another model. Its hand made shade has been manufactured with especially selected wood veneer and exquisitely treated in every step of the whole process. Mariví Calvo’s Guijarros were awarded the Schöner Wohnen / Neue Calibre prize in Hamburg (2007) being selected as one of the 100 most beautiful objects in the world for the last 50 years. The second screen designed by Luis Eslava Studio for LZF, we have the pleasure to introduce Groove: a screen with organic, winding lines and the power to transform the light that comes through it. This piece, as the name suggests, conveys a feeling of movement. For many people, ‘groove’ means the feeling of an expansive rhythm or what gives meaning to swing. Created by the Spanish designer Luis Eslava, Groove is an architectonic piece that allows us to define spaces by assembling several modules. Groove is also a canvas where intricate shadows are projected and converted into an ornament, changing shadows that adapt themselves depending on the direction of the light. It can be used both in home interiors and contract. Available in eight finish tones (as LZF lamps), both in hanging or floor version. Its dimensions are 90 cm x 200,5 cm.

Gea is quickly spotted by the simplicity of its circular lines. It is one of the early lamps designed by Spanish artist Mariví Calvo for LZF Lamps and stands out for it’s quality and warmness of its light. Gea was Mother Earth in Greek mythology and the lamps that make up this collection are a tribute to its natural shape. Thanks to its pleasant appearance, the exact way in which it “levitates”, and its different colours, Gea is the best ally both in home interiors as well as in populated places. Created by Spanish designer Mariví Calvo, Gea was one of the first families at LZF Lamps. Easily recognisable by its simple, circular lines, its wall version produces a warm and sweeping light. In Greek mythology, Gea was the Earth goddess: an essential deity. This lamp is a tribute to her name. With an easily recognisable shape and different finishing tones, it is possible to combine a number of those lamps even in the same environment. Its consistent design will fit in a wide range of home or commercial areas. Available in 3 sizes (20 cm, 30 cm or 42 cm diameter); we offer a semicircular model as well (30 cm diameter). Farolillo was designed by the components of Australian studio Bang Design, Brian Marshall and David Granger. It helps us recover those delightful moments as children, when we used to decorate trees with paper lanterns for a party. The paper lantern has always evoked a sensation of familiarity and kindness. This lamp was specifically designed for LZF and has two pieces: an inner, cylindrical shade made of white cotton, and an outer one in die-cut wood which allows the object to be expanded or compressed, to allow adaptation to the different environments. Farolillo is a genuine visual show to be enjoyed both in a private home or in contract. It is available in two sizes: a longer format, with a diameter of 35 cm and 60 cm height, and a compressed version with a diameter of 45 cm and 55 height.

Within the Gea family, Cosmos-P takes a step beyond. An idea of Spanish designer Mariví Calvo, it preserves the substance of the original shade, changing only the shape and structure of the stand, in this case a tripod base of fine tube that confers lightness and elegance. The shade is hand-made with natural wood veneer especially chosen and subjected to different treatments. Cosmos-P gives a delicate light that embellishes the place even when switched off. Its classical form, discreet line and ability to create a delicate atmosphere make it perfect for every interior. Dimensions: 159 cm (height) and 25 cm width, with a 60 cm diameter shade. Carambola attracts our attention with its honest shape. Conceived by Óskar Cerezo, a designer of Basque-Swiss origins now settled in Berlin, its insinuates roundness and the wood/white light play, give off a diffused light and create a pleasant effect on our environment. The Carambola is bathed in oriental reminiscence very evident in the pendant version. Thanks to the simplicity of its lines it features a wide range of uses: private homes, commercial areas and ephemeral architecture. … Carambola-S is available in 3 sizes: 40 cm x 30 cm, 60 cm x 45 cm y 80 cm x 60 cm.

Cactus is a likeable and elegant table lamp, created by Spanish designer Miguel Herranz for LZF. Its volume is one of the main features of the lamp, one that attracts  attention even when it is switched off. When switched on, its beauty is boosted thanks to the interesting graphics achieved with the overlapping of the wood veneer. The bottom piece is flat and extremely thin. Cactus’s merit is its ability to establish a dialogue between the soundness of its shape and a lightness created by it’s small base. Dimensions for this unusual lamp are 19 cm x 37 cm.

Anfora is a lamp created by Spanish designer Miguel Herranz and conceived to captivate our senses. Loyal to his preference for the organic shapes seen in Nature, Herranz has designed a whole family of lamps with a tridimensional shade featuring a surprising game of transparencies. X-Club is an idea of German designer Burkhard Dämmer and a variant of the Club family. It has been designed to give direct and indirect lighting to private and contract spaces alike. The veneer sheet that it’s circumference is made up of gives a warm, pleasant light. Its distinctive feature, which gives it name, is it’s “X” shape. Available in different wood veneer finishes: white bolivar, red, orange, yellow, green, grey, cherry and beech. Agatha, created by Spanish designer Luis Eslava for LZF, is a hanging lamp whose shape is achieved through the concentrical superposition of materials. Same as in every LZF object, its lines remind us of those we find in nature: a flower, a tree, an animal. Light in aspect, Agatha suggests simplicity and originality. This lamp “blooms”, forming a semi-spherical object, in two different sizes: 76 cm x 37 cm and 140 cm x 90 cm, or expanding to form a full sphere: 80 cm x 76 cm.
